The 81st PEN International Congress will be held in Québec City, from October 13-16, 2015. The congress is an annual gathering where PEN members from around the world discuss issues of free speech and literature. Over the past three years, the meeting has been held in Korea, Iceland, and Kyrgyzstan.
Congress activities will begin the morning of Tuesday, October 13 with committee meetings and will end the evening of Friday, October 16. The preliminary program is available on the Congress website.
PEN Québec has also prepared a rich and diverse literary program in collaboration with the Festival Québec en toutes lettres and the Maison de la littérature, which will be announced in early September.
