Is human rights law an appropriate and effective way to deal with extreme expressions that constitute hate speech, as the federal government is proposing in its new online harms bill? When this question was last addressed a decade and a half ago, Parliament decided the answer was “No.” Does the explosion of hate on the Internet change the picture? Join a panel of leading human rights and legal experts that explore the pros and cons.

This Centre for Free Expression event is cosponsored by OpenMedia and PEN Canada.
