Eritrean poet, journalist and fiction writer Eden Eyasu chronicled the spread of HIV/AIDS in Eritrea and the impact of the border war with Ethiopia. Some of her colleagues were imprisoned. Some are presumed dead. As part of PEN Canada’s Writer in Exile program, Eyasu shares her story and the challenges of re-settling in Canada with PEN Canada’s Brendan de Caires.
