PEN Canada invites you to an intimate dinner with acclaimed authors Junot Díaz and Rawi Hage at Toronto’s award-winning George Restaurant. Díaz and Hage will discuss the challenges of writing novels that defy labels in a publishing industry that’s obsessed with them. Moderated by Emily Keeler, senior editor at The Walrus.
Junot Díaz is the Dominican-born, New Jersey-raised, Pulitzer prize-winning author of Drown, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, and This Is How You Lose Her. Rawi Hage, whose debut novel, De Niro’s Game, won the 2008 IMPAC Dublin Prize, is also the author of Cockroach, and Carnival. Hage was born in Beirut. He now lives in Montreal.
