PEN publishes 2025 annual report, A Place At The Table: 100 Years of PEN in Canada

PEN AR cover

Our annual report includes reflections and achievements from the year behind us, reports from Committee Chairs, and a collection of four stories by Canadian writers. Plus, recognition of our donors, members, volunteers and supporters.

About the report

PEN Canada began at a kitchen table four decades ago. It was a distinguished kitchen table—Margaret Atwood’s. The PEN Chapter in Québec, founded in 1926, had just split into francophone and anglophone centres to better serve both writing communities, forming our centre based in Toronto. 100 years later, we reflect on key cases and accomplishments from the decades of PEN.
