Celebrate Writing
Saturday April 23, 2026, 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at 401 Richmond Street, Toronto
Where should you start if you want to get your writing published in Canada? How do you get published in literary magazines, and which magazines should you choose? Should you publish your work online? Are writing contests worth it? What scams should writers know about? Do you need a literary agent to get a book published? How do you get an agent or editor interested in your manuscript?
Bring your questions about the publishing process and join Patricia Westerhof to learn about finding a Canadian audience for your creative writing.
To register for this workshop, please email queries@pencanada.ca with the subject line “Workshop on Publishing in Canada”. Only members of the PEN Canada Writers in Exile community may participate in this workshop – learn more about becoming a member of the Writers in Exile community.
