An annual street festival of booksellers, authors, and avid readers — come find the PEN Canada booth!

The Word On The Street is a national celebration of reading, writing, and literacy. Each year, the festival hosts hundreds of author readings for visitors of all ages and a vibrant marketplace featuring the best selection of books and magazines in Canada. Join us as we share vital stories about where we live.

Spend the weekend meandering through the vibrant marketplace, where you’ll find books, magazines, and more. See your favourite Indigenous and Canadian authors across multiple stages of all-ages programming, including a dedicated kids stage, and attend writers’ workshops that go beyond the craft.

WOTS is 100% free to attend.
