Against All Odds: The liberation of Eritrea... an unfinished project

On Thursday, September 19, 2013 Dan Connell -- senior lecturer in journalism and Africa studies at Simmons College, Boston -- addressed Ryerson University’s International Issues Discussion (IID) series on the connections between Eritrea’s political and human rights. In this presentation, Dan Connell discusses how a broad political crackdown in 2001, and the silencing of Eritrea's independent media, set the stage for many of the human rights violations that followed.
